Al-Ahram is the largest Egyptian daily newspaper in circulation. It was founded in 1875 and is majority owned by the Egyptian government. It is considered to be influential in Arabic writing style. Al-Ahram publishes its main edition in Egypt along with one edition geared to the Arab World and another to an international audience. It also publishes in English and French.
